Qixingtan Beach Stargazing PlazaQixingtan Beach which called Malongayangay is the only county-level scenic spot in Hualien County. The strait is made by fault and the bay is a beautiful arc shape. With rich natural and cultural landscapes, clean blue water and crystal-like black stones, you can overlook the lush green mountains, the highway stretches, and the scenic area extending from the seaside to the Qixingtan community. Qixingtan Beach is closed to Taroko National Park, East Coast, and East Rift Valley National Scenic Area. It has been developed and maintained by Hualien County Government many years and has become one of the best scenic areas in Hualien. In Qixingtan Beach, you can have a lookout of Qingshui Cliff and night view of Xincheng and Chengde areas. This is a popular place for local residents to enjoy the night view and star-gazing.

Qixingtan Scenic Area has a 21km cycling trail where you can stop by the famous attractions such as Nanbin Park, Hualien Stone Sculpture Museum Park, Star-gazing Plaza, and Guanri Building, etc. by riding bicycles. The 21-kilometer bicycle journey can give visitors a different visual feeling. In addition, there is a standing sign nearby fishing market which introduce the ecology of ocean. A seaside botanical garden is built by using windbreak forest. The public can not only enjoy the attractions, but also increase their knowledge.
