The 1,250 hectare park is a true phytoncide generator. Nearly one million trees of 20 varieties grow in the garden, rendering the place the best destination for relaxing your mind and body.

This is a new flatland reforestation in the valley, combining agriculture, Hsincheng’s culture, and community building, integrating natural and human resources. The park has the longest forest bike path in Taiwan.

On both sides of the visitor center are the south-ring and north-ring bikeways. Recently, the Park has started to provide a bike rental service, so tourists will experience the fun of biking and exercising without bringing their own bikes. Biking in the Park is undoubtedly the best low-emission, eco-friendly enjoyment. In addition, the place is the habitat of “the Pearl of the Grass,” a kind of ring-necked pheasant specific to Taiwan; these birds attract many bird lovers.

The Dafu community is about 5 km to the south of the forest park and comprises Dafeng Village and Dafu Village. It is a compact, beautiful community. When cyclists enter the community from the provincial highway, they can directly reach the train station. After strolling along a row of painted walls, the cyclists can ride their bikes along the river levee of Jianon River and overlook the greenness of the valley. The view is soothing and relaxing and records the best moment of the bike trip in the valley.
