Hualien Bay New Paradise is located on Nanbin Rd., Hualien. The building’s façade features the largest mosaic mural in the world, and the artwork incorporates indigenous cultural elements, creating a remarkable sight. The opening of the New Paradise not only infuses new tourism momentum but also provides travelers with a brand-new alternative when planning their trips. The inside of the complex is equipped with a twin spiral slide, food court, and Tom’s world, perfect for the entire family. Additionally, a variety of boutiques and sales promotions are available on top of a Vieshow Cinema and amusement facilities such as VR experiences to keep the visitors entertained for the whole day.

The Hualien Scenic Bridge connects to the Hualien Port Waterfront Recreation Area. The first thing visitors see is the “Venus Gallery” with colorful mosaic tiles on the exterior walls. It brings colorful vibrance to the port warehouse. The bright gallery has been the art center for nearly 40 years. Also, it’s one of Hualien’s most historical art museums. The entire recreation area is full of a colorful artistic atmosphere. In front of the gallery is a public art installation, a one-piece stone sculpture named “Blue Bird of Happiness.” It’s a mailbox weighing 6 tons, 3.6 m in height and a diameter of 168 cm.
