Jian Station was formerly known as Yoshino Station, it was established for the local Japanese settlers’ village in 1914, and the station was renamed after Taiwan’s Recovery. As the second most populated township in Hualien, the revamped Jian Station is a standard station of the Taitung Line Railroad Expansion Project, emphasizing the free-flowing qualities of the space by turning the station into a pavilion and introducing the gorgeous scenery of Hualien into the station. The exterior wall has retained its original appeal to engender a sense of peacefulness among the passengers.
