Nanbin Park was established and planned based on the Nanbin coastline and preserves the primeval natural landscape. Here, you can overlook the entire Pacific Ocean and the crescent-shaped “Huilan New Bay.”Liangtan bicycle path is connected right next to the seawall, and seats areas were designed for visitors who need a quick break. With a wide space and good air in Hualien, the park is always a good choice for both residents and visitors in Hualien. The Park also features a Roman-style central square, spacious parking area, restroom, playground, and, most importantly, accessibility facilities for elderly. The Beibin section, boasts large 3D color installation art pieces, such as an installation art of carp jumping into water right at the entrance, 3D seaworld painting spread over the wall, as well as an extreme playground and beach volleyball court, which are popular among the young generation, making it another good places to hang out with family and friends. Pacific Park holds holiday markets or art and cultural festivals occasionally. The events are lively throughout the day. Beibin Park Segment

Pacific Park, which covers an area of about 7 hectares, comprises the famous Beibin Choa-Jih Beach Park, an installation art of carp jumping into the water right at the entrance, and a 30-meter-long 3D painting of a “universal giant dragon” along with a vivid ocean world wall-painting and a photo frame installation art, etc. This year, Pacific Park has revealed and expanded more styles, including a newly opened extreme playground, sandpit, and beach volleyball court, which are popular among young locals.

Nanbin Park Segment

Covers an area of approximately 20 hectares; there is a staircase at the entrance of the South segment of Pacific Park, while the on the left side of the staircase stands a statue of sailing boats with “Pacific Park” written. You can take the steps which direct you up to a playground covered with white sand, or walk down the rear slope and you will be led to the playground by a gentle slope which is suitable for a family stroll. At the end of the slope, you will find a large sandpit and white sand under blue sky decorated with the boundless ocean, presenting tourists with breathtaking scenery. Compared with all the other parks in Hualien, the playground in Nanbin Park is the top-rated park because other than the sandpit itself, kids can also ride pirate ships, swings, tripleline, which is why the playground here is the most popular one that almost every child is crazy about. Among the rides, a special “love slide,” designed by a cartoon artist named Yen-chung, Xiao, who is inspired by an parent-child interacting scene of elephants to share the vibe in the fantasy world of Mr. Xiao. The sandpit settles next to the bicycle trail, which is smooth and friendly for both cycling and walking. Playing in the sandpit, staying by the sea, and enjoying the sea breeze – spending your afternoon time here with loved ones makes a simple but happy trip.
