Shitiping Fishing Port is named after the natural harbor (Shitiping Bay) located next to Shitiping in Gongkou Village, Fengbin Township, Hualien. The estuary of Shitiping Port Creek is next to it. During the Japanese colonial period, some residents settled here and it became a fishing village, mainly using small rubber rafts to catch milkfish.
