The Yanliao Beach Rest Area (North) is the first rest area on the left-hand wide when traveling on Provincial Highway 11. Public toilets are also equipped in this breach rest area, including the gents, ladies, accessible toilet, and a nursery room. Therefore, it is quite convenient. The area has over one dozen parking spaces and some marble installation artworks for watching.

Besides a rest area, it is also a beach park for watching the beautiful local coastline, as well as the closet spot for watching sunset from Hualien downtown to Provincial Highway 11. Toilets are cleaned by cleaners regularly to ensure convenience and sanitation.
