Not far south from Jiqi, you will pass through Xinji Tunnel, where cliffs sit, and next to the tunnel is where used to be called the “Qinbuzhizi Cliff.” The trial was once as wide as a man’s shoulders and was known for its harsh terrain. It is said that a Tao woman was carrying a child over the cliff with her. She was so nervous that she suddenly realized that the child was gone after reaching the other end of the cliff. The trail is 150 meters long and only 50 meters above the sea, located by the Xinji Tunnel in Fengbin Township, Hualien, a popular tourist spot that everyone will pass by when driving along the east coastal line.
