Located at 31.5km on Provincial Highway 11, Baqi Outlook Platform is a rare vintage point on the coastal highway. This is a perfect hairpin turn on the highway with the verdant mountain view on the one side and the blue ocean on the other wide, making a gorgeous and sensational view.A rest area is established on the platform. The vision in the south of the rest area is great, the entire Jiqi Bay, Guikong Cape, and Xinshe Cliff are in sight, making up a perfectly structured peculiar coastal landscape. Under the outlook platform is a boardwalk of about 100m long leading to the cool, shaded lawn platform for visitors to get some rest and cool the heat while listing to the bird calls and insect chirps in the mountain forest.Going forward the highway for about 60m, there is another small rest area. “Shimen Banshaojiao” is named according to the past coastal defense post there. After refurbishment, it is a small attraction with gorgeous view and convenient parking. The double heart sculpture at the square is the popular check-in attraction and photographic spot of visitors.
