Following the wriggling Provincial Highway 11 will reach the Hualien Visitor Center of the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration. Inside the center sitting on the slope, there is an exhibition room displaying the natural and culture sources and the information of all tourist attraction on the East Coast and a multimedia briefing room for 81 persons. The Hualien Visitor Center looking over the vast Pacific Ocean has a perfect view. It allows visitors to watch the boundless blue ocean and enjoy the invincible sea view in front of them. During April-May each year, Easter (long-flower) lilies bloom all over the pond and slope by the visitor center. Walking along the landscape trail and watch the flower sea swing in the wind, the picturesque view is enchanting.

Going north from the visitor’s center will lead to the Linding Cape, the northern border of the Coastal Mountain Range, where the Hualien River and the Pacific Ocean meet. Due to the backward swirls forming there, Hualien Port was called “Hueilan Port”, meaning the port of backward swirls.

The restoration of Easter (long-flower) lily is in progress at the pond and on the slope next to the visitor’s center. Walking along the landscape trail when lilies bloom during April-May each year, visitors can enjoy the white flower sea swinging in the wind and the picturesque view of the mountain and the sea to refresh their mind.
