Qinbuzhizi Cliffs

Skywalks made with transparent tempered glass have been very popular across Taiwan in recent years. The Fengbin Sea Ancient Trail near Jiqi was also built this way. However, it is the first in Taiwan because it was built on the cliff by the sea.

Please contact the Fengbin Township Office for opening information.

Qinbuzhizi Cliffs 2The trail sits next to the Xinfeng Tunnel on Provincial Highway 11. It was the pervious Provincial Highway 11 before the tunnel was open. Its name is sensational but a bit lonely: Qinbuzhizi, literally, parents do not know their children. Running parallel to the Xinji Tunnel, it was a trail where earlier indigenous peoples crossed the cliff and was abandoned in about 1971. With the efforts of Fengbin Township Office in recent years, a brand-new skywalk was built and a large car park and park were also planned for the public to enjoy leisure.Qinbuzhizi Cliffs 3

There is a small brick lighthouse at the entrance of the trail divided into two sections: one is the original trail fortified with cement and expanded, another one is a steel structure with tempered glass hanging on the cliff vertically. The trail is about 150m long handing at about 40m above sea level, and 20m of it has a tempered glass deck.
