Located on the west side of the station, the Yuli Shinto Shrine relic is a building from the Japanese occupation period. After two world wars, the main structure has become dilapidated, only two Torii, part of the stone lantern, and the pilgrimage trail have been retained until today, making it the most well preserved Shinto shrine relic in Hualien. Originally deserted with overgrown grass, the Shinto shrine was listed as a municipal relic of Hualien County in 2008 to highlight her history, culture, and former glory.

The path leading from the Torii at the entrance to the top of the Shinto shrine is easy to walk on. From the top, visitors can catch a glimpse of the long flight of stairs and soak up the Japanese ambiance, as if they have found themselves in a secluded Shinto shrine deep in the mountains of Japan, in turn creating a sense of serenity and mystique.
