Siba Highland is also known as Qilaibu or Meilunbi, a higher terrain by the Qixintan Beach. It has a pleasing, wider view over the distinctive East Coastline of Taiwan. Although the Siba Highland is the best location for viewing landscapes, a slope collapse might take place at any time near the coast. Consequently, the Siba Highland Observation Deck is built for ensuring visitors’ safety during the experience of enjoying the beautiful scenery. The newly renovated Siba Highland Military Tunnel is nearby and open to the public; in the past, it was an underground facility for military purposes as a defensive position for early detection of enemies from the sea. At present, the original design of the Siba Highland Military Tunnel is preserved for tourism. Visitors can overlook the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Due to the restriction on the maximum number of visitors, a reservation for the guided tours is required.
