Fuli Township MapAfter Taiwan’s Recovery, settlers from the west gradually migrated to Fuli Township, and the total population exceeded 26,000 people by 1967, which was also the heyday of the township. Currently, the township only has a population of 12,000 due to rural flight. Most of the township citizens engage in farming and the reclamation of mountain forests, making Fuli the agricultural hub of eastern Taiwan. Its fertile soil and abundant diversity have lived up to the name of Fuli, which translates to “rich neighborhood.
