Currently, about a quarter of Hualien’s residents are aborigines. This land is also a blend of Spanish, Dutch, Minnan, Hakka, and Han cultures, which have left behind many historical relics like Ji’an Keishuin (a Japanese temple listed as a third-level historic site) and Lintianshan Forestry Cultural Park.
