The design concept is based on “hometown of the sun is in Hualien”. The image is a rising sun from sea surface which symbolizes twilight of Pacific Ocean. Each spot represents a unique aboriginal culture. The Amis, the Truku, the Bunun, the Kavalan, the Sakizaya, the Seediq, and Han Chinese, every culture merges together forming a happy hopeful new Hualien. Pilot whale is the symbol of a leadership. By constructing the largest tourism county in Asia, we make the world see Hualien.
