Bus to Hualien
From Northern Taiwan
Currently there are no direct bus services in between besides "bus + train" connection.
- Taipei – Yilan or Luodong

Both Kamalan and Capital Bus offer direct bus from Taipei to Luodong which takes
45 – 60 minutes; from there, take the train. Another option is taking a 3-hour Kuo-kuang
Bus ride to Yilan. It's time consuming, but the beautiful scenery along the coast
is worth it.

From Western Taiwan
Take FengYuan Bus of Taichung-LiShan Line from Taichung at 08:00 and arrive at 14:00.
From there transfer to Hualien Bus LiShan-Hualien Line, leaving at 15:00 and arrives
at Hualien Train Station at around 20:00.
Frequent alternations happen; please contact FengYuan Bus and Hualien Bus for
the latest news.
Note: There's no direct connection from Hualien to
Taichung. Take a Hualien-LiShan Line bus at 08:40 and arrive at 13:40. FengYuan
Bus LiShan-Taichung Line leaves at 08:00 the next morning and arrives at around
14:00.
